Leukodystrophy Australia is not government funded; relying wholly on the generosity of donations, grant benefactors and private individuals, often family members, who generously fundraise for us. Due to advanced genomics, as greater numbers of children and adults become more accurately and more quickly diagnosed our organisation feels the downward pressure. There is still no cure for Leukodystrophy. The COVID-19 crisis and other natural disasters has had a considerable impact on traditional fundraising avenues. Now is the time to collaborate and partner to support each other as we feel the real impact. Leukodystrophy Australia, now operational for 28 years, values highly your fundraising efforts in keeping our organisation and our Family Advocate Program operational.
